German lifting and transportation company MSG Krandienst has expanded its fleet with the purchase of a Tadano HK 40 truck crane. This is now the second HK 40 the company has.

MSG ordered the 40-tonne capacity model complete with Volvo chassis and a full counterweight of 5.5 tonnes.

“The HK 40 has the best lifting capacity in its class,” claimed MSG managing director Björn Jatz. “Tadano’s trademark dual-engine concept makes this crane a particularly economical solution for us, especially on our trans-regional projects.

“The maintenance teams from Tadano and Demag are trained together in-house, which gives us access to an even tighter service network that we know we can always rely on if the worst comes to the worst. And this in turn allows us to become more flexible, too.”

According to Tadano the crane will be used for the construction of prefabricated houses and for jobs that are geographically distant to MSG Krandienst’s branches, which are located between Karlsruhe and Weil am Rhein, where the crane’s combination of lifting ability and on road efficiency make it a good choice.
