Finnish trailer and atrium lift manufacturer, Dinolift launches the first in a line of articulated boom lifts at APEX.

The range is called XTS and the first machine is an 18.5m working height boom DINO 185XTS with an 11.7m outreach. Dinolift says it has designed the machine with a strong chassis and a light boom structure with a platform capacity of 250kg. It will weigh around 8000kg.

The 185XTS has an oscillating axle, foam filled tyres, and gradeability is 45%, with a 5 degree levelling capacity. Power is provided by a 36.3 kW Deutz D2011 diesel engine.

The DINO 185XTS retains the style of the DINO range and is "finished with streamlined plastic covers that open up easily for quick access to service points", said the company.

The compact design of the chassis (transport width 2.29 m, height 2.56m and length 6.83m (7ft 6in, 8ft 5in, and 22ft 5in)) means the DINO 185XTS can be used in restricted space working sites and enables easy transportation.

Production models of the DINO 185XTS boom lift will be available after APEX, where the first models will be unveiled.

Murray Pollok, managing editor of Access International magazine, talks to Karen Nars, managing director of the company about the new machine.
