Audubon launches lifting services division

Audubon's Crane & Heavy Lift Services division offer includes specialized wind turbine erection cranes and lifting accessories

Engineering, construction and technical services specialist Audubon Companies has opened a division offering crane, heavy lifting and transport services in North and South America.

Cranes are available in capacities from 90 up to 1,300 US tons (82 to 1,180 tonnes). For specialized and heavy transport the fleet includes self-propelled modular trailers, modular and conventional trailers. Equipment is either part of a project-based service with engineered lifting or on a rental basis.

The Crane & Heavy Lift Services division is operated by Audubon Field Solutions, an Audubon affiliate company. The new venture expands the company’s field services capabilities, integrating engineering, project management, construction, and technical support services.

Its typical offer is crane and heavy lifting services for new-build construction, operations, maintenance, and decommissioning projects, much of it is the energy sector. Experience includes wind turbines, other renewable energy, infrastructure and civils construction.

Commenting on the new venture David Robison, Audubon Field Solutions president, said, “We look forward to leveraging our track record of safe and professional project execution in this service line, meeting our clients’ needs for integrated field services in the wind and other renewable energy, power generation and transmission, civil construction, telecommunication, and traditional energy markets.”

Houston, Texas-based Audubon has made two new appointments to help develop the business. Brandon Caddell is appointed director of crane operations. He brings more than ten years of experience in supervisory, heavy equipment management, logistics, and construction, Audubon said. Caddell’s role is to oversee the crane and heavy lift operations with a focus on growth and long-term strategy.

Hayden Hawkins is promoted to director of strategic development with responsibility for further developing the company’s national footprint, Audubon said.
