Having celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2006, Spain-based manufacturer Ausa hit another milestone recently with the production of its 100000th machine, a new D 900 AP.

The D 900 AP, the company's newest site dumper, has a load capacity of 9 tonnes, an articulated chassis, four-wheel drive and a turning radius of just 5,95 m.

Powered by a 100 kW kubota engine the D 900 AP is being marketed as a substitute for a 9 to 10 tonne capacity truck. The articulated chassis and small turning circle means it is capable of manoeuvring over extremely rough ground and cramped construction sites.

A new torque convertor helps reduce maintenance requirements, while the driver has excellent visibility thanks to a seat that is 300 mm higher than the competition's, according to the company.
