Czech transport specialist B+V Trans has acquired a new 150 tonne capacity Grove GMK5150L all terrain crane to unload and load trailers.

The Tabor-based company specialises in carrying heavy and oversized loads weighing up to 60 tonnes and 45 metres long. Also in the crane fleet are a 50 tonne Grove GMK3050-1 and a 100 tonne GMK4100L.

“We compared five-axle cranes of up to 180 t from all major crane manufacturers and found the GMK5150L to offer the best performance in its Taxi configuration,” said Petr Baborský, B+V Trans chief executive officer. “With this crane, we can start offering assembly work for precast concrete blocks. I’m sure this GMK5150L is going to prove that my decision was the right one. We are also very satisfied with Grove aftersales support in Czechia.”

Manitowoc dealer Pragotechnik spol sold the crane to B+V.
