Carole Bachmann will be manager of the ERA's secretariat in Brussels from 1 December.

Carole Bachmann will join the European Rental Association (ERA) as manager of its secretariat in Brussels.

She will move to the new post on 1 December from her current role as EMEA managing director at software solutions provider Wynne Systems, where she worked for three years. She was responsible for the implementation of Wynne's rental management software for a number of leading rental companies in Europe.

Ms Bachmann replaces Michel Baumgartner, who after more than 6 years with the ERA will pursue other career opportunities.

In her new capacity, Ms Bachmann will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the association and its activities, in close cooperation with Michel Petitjean, the ERA's secretary general, and the rest of the team which she will supervise.

Prior to joining Wynne Ms Bachmann served on the group management team of Loxam at which she managed the company's information technology, mergers and acquisitions, quality and safety operations. It is in that role, that she contributed to the creation of the European Rental Association and its Statistics Committee.

'I am very pleased that Carole can join our team and very much look forward to working with her,” said Mr Petitjean. “She has an excellent understanding and knowledge of Europe's rental industry and will therefore no doubt be a major asset for the European Rental Association. I also seize this occasion to thank Michel Baumgartner for his valuable contribution and dedication in serving the ERA since its very foundation. I wish him all the best for his future career.”
