Software specialist Baseplan has developed a new user interface to make it easier for customers to use Baseplan Enterprise.
The company, which is based in Australia and has a second head office in the USA, said that more than 7,500 man hours had gone into the development of the latest iteration.
Features include the ability to auto-resize forms for different monitor dimensions and the option to have multiple forms open at the same time.
President and CEO Andrew Ferry commented: “Engaging clients in research and development is very important to us. It’s important to them. It is always our goal to ensure that any improvements made to the product benefit the client. After all, they are the ones using the system.
“We wanted to make sure that this wasn’t just a new look, but most importantly, that we were also bringing new and enhanced features with it.”
For the rental industry, Baseplan Enterprise provides software in areas such as project costing, transport management, wet hire and long term contract management.
In its native Australia, the company has worked with names such as Allcot Hire and Kennards Hire. In the US, Baseplan exhibited at the recent ARA (American Rental Association) Rental Show and was a silver sponsor of the event.
“We were really pleased to be able to come on board and support the show that supports the rental industry,” said Mr Ferry.
The company has already said it will attend the 2016 show in Atlanta.
