The third bC India exhibition has opened at the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida, near Delhi. More than 630 exhibitors from 25 countries are taking part in the event, which covers 120,000 m2 of exhibition space.

The event is organised by bC Expo India, a joint venture between Messe München International (MMI), which organises the Bauma and Bauma China trade shows, among others, and the US-based Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), which is responsible for the ConExpo-Con/Agg event in Las Vegas, US, among other exhibitions.

The organisers expect 30,000 visitors from 50 countries to attend the show, which runs from 15 – 18 December.

Speaking at the event’s inauguration ceremony, Shri Sushanta Kumar Basu, president of partner trade association, the Builders’ Association of India, said, “In the last two years things have not been as good as they should have been in the Indian construction industry. But with the new government, I am sure we are looking at a better future.”

He added that the government of Narendra Modi, which was elected in a landslide victory earlier this year was targeting +6% annual GDP growth in its current five-year plan for the country.
