More than 28,000 visitors attended the bC India exhibition in Mumbai, India, which took place at the Bandra Kurla Complex from February 5 to 8. This represented a +13% increase on the 24,823 that attended the inaugural event in 2011.

Thomas Löffler, Chief Executive Officer of the show’s organiser, bC Expo India Pvt. Ltd. Said, “The visitor numbers are satisfying in times like this. Therefore, I hope that the success of bC India indicates a return to growth in the Indian construction market”.

Some 710 exhibitors took part in this year’s show, compared to 508 in 2011, and exhibition space increased to 120,000 m2, compared to 88,000 m2 the first time the event was held.

The exhibition is a joint-venture between Messe Muenchen International, the organiser of the Bauma and Bauma China exhibitions, and the US-based Association of equipment Manufacturers (AEM), which is responsible for the ConExpo-Con/Agg show in Las Vegas, US.
