Boehler and Hoover to chair SAIA's new AWP sub-committees

Brad Boehler, president of Skyjack and Brent Hoover of JLG have been appointed as chairmen of two of the new aerial platform sub-committees at the SAIA (Scaffold & Access Industry Association).

The SAIA A92 members recently voted and approved three new sub-committees in Las Vegas at their 2011 Annual Meeting each relating to manually propelled, self-propelled and boom supported aerial work platforms and under bridge vehicle, mounted inspection work platforms The A92.20 sub committee deals with design; A92.22 with the safe use and A92.24 with operator training.

Brent Hoover was appointed as the A92.20 chairman, Brad Boehler as the A92.22 chairman, and Frank Bonesteel, New York State Department of Transportation as the A92.24 chairman.

The newly formed sub-committees will begin work in January 2012. All applications considered for subcommittee membership must be received by Monday, November 21, 2011. All applications received by November 21, 2011 will be voted on and approvals announced by December 31, 2011.
