Boels invests in lighting masts

Rental company Boels has expanded its fleet with new stationary lighting masts and balloon lighting masts from manufacturer Trime.

Boels said the latest additions to its fleet – which Trime produced exclusively for Boels - were more energy-efficient, environmentally friendly and quieter than their predecessors. It said they were durable, offered low fuel consumption and noise output.

The new stationary lighting mast boasts a hydraulic mast and four 300-Watt LEDs and can illuminate 3900m² (with 5 Lux), offering an autonomous operating time of 600 hours from its diesel engine.

The built-in timer and light sensor also allow the mast to be switched on automatically, while the hoisting eye and fork pockets on all sides make the lighting mast easy to move with a crane and forklift truck.

Boels said the stationary lighting masts were well-suited for a range of uses, including building sites, at industrial plants, during events and in car parks and ports.

Meanwhile, the new stationary balloon lighting mast is a carbon-neutral 600-Watt LED balloon that produces non-blinding clear light in a 360o arc.

Two models of the product are available: the battery-pack model (with a minimum operating time of 50 hours), and the (230 V) electrically powered model. Both models can be configured to switch on and off automatically.
