Boom lift tips over in Philadelphia

A 33-year-old man and boom lift crashed 50 feet to the ground Feb. 6 when the 85-foot self-propelled lift tipped over in Philadelphia, PA. The man suffered a broken leg from the fall but was in stable condition, reports said. No one else was injured.

The accident happened outside Philadelphia's Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul where the man was working on repairs of the building.

Reports say it was unclear why the lift tipped over. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is investigating.
