Nationwide Platforms has placed an order for 10 truck mounted platforms from Bronto Skylift.

It represents the largest single order for the Finland-based manufacturer in recent years and includes S38XDT, S5OXDT-J and S70XDT models. The order follows another recent delivery of a Bronto Skylift S70XDT to the UK-based rental giant.

The units will be delivered from the third quarter this year, and are set to go straight into service on a range of existing contracts.

In further Bronto news, Ireland-based Height For Hire has ordered three S50XDT-Js, the first of which is set for delivery in June. The manufacturer said an additional three orders from Height for Hire, in the same height category, would follow in 2014.

According to Bronto Skylift, the orders represent a continued expansion of Height For Hire’s fleet of large truck mounted platforms. “The opportunities in the large truck mounted market are increasing and with large infrastructure, construction and power related projects being unveiled the group wanted to take advantage to provide a high quality reliable, up to date fleet,” said a Bronto Skylift spokesman.
