Capital Safety, has added to its Protecta Rebel all-in-one web and self-retracting lifeline range.

The self-retracting lifeline is ideal for construction and general maintenance applications.

The range builds on previous models, including the AD111 web self-retracting lifeline, by introducing a number of additional design features underpinned by the philosophy of ‘longer, lighter, smaller’.

Its twist-lock zinc-plated top connector carabiner has a gate strength of 16 kN, which represents a significant improvement on the AD111’s 1kN, offering. Furthermore, the 18 mm opening makes it compatible with a range of anchor points. An improved top swivel design reduces lifeline twisting.

The web version, available in 3.3 m and 6 m options, is made from high-strength polyester web to provide added durability and longevity. The new range of products also include an option for a 4.5 m cable (with 5 mm galvanised cable) SRL, both this and the 6 m option are fully-serviceable.

The nylon housing unit is significantly lighter than previous models and offers the same protection. Maximum capacity is 140 kg. Meanwhile, the heat-shrunk clear PVC coating on the shock pack ensures greater durability and that labels remain easy to read.
