The dublin docklands development authority has selected the U2 Tower to mark the regeneration of the city's docklands area. The landmark tower, so named because the top two floors will house a new recording studio for the world famous rock group, will stand 100 m tall. High quality apartments will make up the remaining floors of the twisted profile building. Architects for the project are bcdh (Burdon Craig Dunne Henry) and the structural engineer is McCarthy Hyder Consultants, a joint venture of P.H. McCarthy and Hyder Consulting.
