Cementation Skanska buys Kobelco crawlers

Piling and ground engineering company Cementation Skanska has agreed a deal for two Kobelco CKE 800G crawler cranes.

Features of the CKE 800G include a lifting capacity of 80 tonnes at 3 metres radius and a maximum boom length of 54.9 m. With a fixed jib configuration the lifting capacity is 6.6 tonnes at 20 m.

The two crawlers are the latest Kobelco generation G-series cranes. The main winch has a maximum line speed of 120 metres/minute (first layer) and a rated line pull (single line) of 78.5 kN. Optional features include a self-removal device for the counterweight.

The cranes will be delivered in June and September 2013.
