UK-based Central Crane Hire (Hull) has taken delivery of its first Liebherr machine, a custom-painted LTM 1060-3.1 all terrain mobile crane to join its fleet at new premises.

With its three-axle chassis, the LTM 1060-3.1 is said to offer excellent manoeuvrability achieved through its 6-wheel steering. It has a five-section main boom giving a maximum operating height of 48 metres, which can be increased with the installation of a fly jib.

In the UK the LTM 1060-3.1 can travel with all 12.8 tonnes of counterweight and a double fly jib and remain within STGO regulations.

Central Crane Hire said it planned to expand its fleet further this year with another LTM 1060-3.1 and the company has expanded, recently also investing in new premises.

Jon Hart, Central Crane Hire managing director, said, “Our experience with Liebherr has been nothing but positive. From start to finish they have been incredible in terms of organisation and communication. Any issues that have arisen have been dealt with and resolved immediately.

"We have also recently used Liebherr Training Services for new driver and slinger and signaller training and are pleased to say that we found them equally professional and a pleasure to deal with.”
