Chinese built & designed Tier 3 engine from Perkins

Perkins will mark Bauma China with the launch of its first electronically controlled Tier 3 / Stage IIIA compliant engine in the Chinese market. The 1106D-E70TA engine will make its debut at the show and its arrival marks a significant moment for Perkins 1100 Series facility in Wuxi, China, which has taken sole responsibility for its design, engineering and manufacture.
The 7 litre, 6-cylinder model features high pressure common rail fuel injection, has a single stage turbo charger and is air-to-air charge cooled. It is capable of producing up to 205 kW and shares a common platform with its six cylinder mechanical counterpart, the 1106C-70TA.
Alongside the new arrival Perkins will be exhibiting a full suite of products including models from its 400, 850, 1100 and 1200 Series engines, covering the 38 kW to 225 kW power bands.
