North American retailer The Home Depot now offers landscape and construction equipment for hire from Compact Power Equipment Rental in 1000 of its outlets.

The Compact Power Equipment Rental and The Home Depot partnership has steadily expanded from three pilot equipment centres at Charlotte, North Carolina-based stores, which opened in 2008.

To commemorate the 1000th store opening, a ribbon cutting ceremony was recently held at the Home Depot in Blufton, South Carolina, US.

Compact Power Equipment Rental offers a range of equipment from backhoe loaders, aerial equipment, skid-steers and mini excavators to trenchers, chippers, stump grinders, lighting towers and more.

Compact Power Equipment Rental founder and CEO Roger Braswell said, “In six years, this steady expansion has not only included the marked growth of our partnership with The Home Depot program and continued location expansion, but also opportunities for future growth with our new VIP delivery programme.

“VIP delivery service was rolled out in select markets early this year and supplements the in-store pick up option. This new service, along with continuing location expansion, has allowed us to grow by more than 40% over last year.”
