ConExpo Russia to be held with CTT

01 September 2009

The US-based Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has reached an agreement with exhibition organiser Media Globe to hold its next ConExpo Russia exhibition within Media Globe's Construction Equipment & Technologies (CTT).

The first and only stand-alone ConExpo Russia exhibition was held in September 2008, and the AEM launched it as a competitor to CTT. The agreement to merge the show into the more established CTT event was informed by current economic conditions. However, the ConExpo Russia brand will be maintained, with its own exhibit area within CTT.

AEM president Dennis Slater said, "The current economic conditions make it very difficult for the manufacturers of construction equipment and their customers. By joining forces with Media Globe to give the full support of AEM to CTT and organising the ConExpo Russia exhibit area, we will be improving the opportunity of participants for a successful event."

Media Globe president Alexey Striganov added, "CTT has grown steadily for the past 10 years due to the support of both exhibitors and their customers as the expanding Russian economy created a boom in infrastructure projects. Cooperation with AEM will enhance the global platform of CTT and will support participants during the economic downturn and in the future."

The next CTT exhibition will be held from 1 to 5 June 2010 at the Crocus International Exhibition Centre in Moscow.

The agreement with Media Globe follows the announcement the AEM made in April that it had made a similar deal with Messe München GmbH (MMG) to incoporate its ConExpo Asia event into MMG's more popular Bauma China exhibition.
