CPA announces Future of Construction Plant Hire conference

16 June 2014

The Construction Plant-hire Association (CPA) in the UK is to hold a one-day conference in Cambridgeshire this autumn, called the Future of Construction Plant Hire conference.

Guest speakers at the 23 October event include Heather Bryant, chief inspector of construction at the UK Health & Safety Executive.

The venue for the Future of Construction Plant Hire conference is Wyboston Lakes Conference Centre, near St Neots, Cambridgeshire, UK. The theme is understanding and influencing the future of construction plant hire.

The CPA said subjects would include machine control, telematics, driverless machines, and what the rental industry might look like under the government’s aspirations for UK construction.

Other safety and health issues such as operator competence and ground conditions, as well as public health issues including emissions and road transport, are also planned to be covered.
