Cramo has acquired Hyresbutiken, a supplier of construction, transport and processing machines in Northern Sweden.

The company, which also has a range of pumps, power, heating and ventilation systems as part of its rental portfolio, is based in Skellefteå and has two depots in Arjeplog and Norsjö.

According to Cramo, the purchase will allow the company to strengthen its position in the region where it already offers machines, equipment and rental-related services.

Martin Holmgren, CEO of Cramo, said, “The acquisition of Hyresbutiken is in line with Boels Rental’s growth strategy with the aim to expand, not only organically, but through acquisitions like this one.

“This will further strengthen our market position in an area of Sweden which currently is in a very expansive phase.

“Together we will lay the foundation for a joint success story where our combined experiences, competences, working methods and similar cultures will continue to develop to the benefit of our customers.”

Martin Lundmark, owner of Hyresbutiken, added, “We have developed a close collaboration with Cramo for several years, so this feels like a natural step in the development.

“Cramo has experience and the same view as us on what is important i.e. customer satisfaction. Our joint work in planning for the acquisition has convinced me that Cramo and Hyresbutiken are a really good match – together we will be incredibly strong, and our customers will benefit from it.”

The purchase of Hyresbutiken is the latest move in its growth strategy the company has made since it was acquired by Boels Rental in 2020.

In 2021, Cramo opened a depot in Finland which now serves as its headquarters, while last year it opened a new site in Sweden to support growing demand for electrified scissor lifts.
