Crane certification extension in question

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in the USA has issued a proposed rule to extend the deadline for the crane operator certification requirement to 10 November 2017. It is now entered in the Federal Register.

The original standard required crane operators to be certified by 10 November 2014. After issuing the proposal, concerns were raised regarding certification requirements, potential costs and whether operators should be tested by type and capacity.
