JLG 400SC crawler boom launched at Matexpo.

JLG has launched the 400SC crawler boom at the Matexpo exhibition in Belgium.

The manufacturer is being represented by distributor TVH Equipment, part of the TVH group, at the construction show taking place 2 – 9 September.

Based on the 400S, launched at Intermat in April, the 400SC is a telescopic boom lift with a crawler undercarriage enabling it to travel across rough and muddy terrain. Offering a working height of more than 14 m and a working outreach of nearly 11 m, the 400SC has been designed with terrainability, platform capacity and lift times in mind.

Other features of the model include variable speed engine control for improved fuel efficiency reducing operation cost, dual capacity of 270 kg unrestricted and 450 kg for more tools or materials, 360 degrees continuous rotation and Dura Tough hood.

“The 400SC is a great example of customer-oriented product development”, said Karel Huijser, general manager and vice president of JLG EMEA. “During the design stages of the 400SC, we worked closely with loyal distributors such as TVH Equipment in Belgium and Riwal in the Netherlands to understand what is required from a crawler boom. The traditional construction market and large infrastructure projects demand a product that provides outreach, extreme terrain capabilities and lift speed.”

On the TVH Equipment outdoor stand, #D35, will also be JLG’s 100000th commemorative telehandler, a 4017RS sporting a custom colour scheme comprised of 100000 tiny JLG logos. The 4017RS unit will be auctioned off during a gala invitation-only event that will take place in Europe in early December. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale will be donated to the buyer’s charity of choice.
