Custom Equipment has made significant changes to its push-around Hy-Brid HB-P830 recently.

Scissor lift manufacturer Custom Equipment has refreshed its push-around Hy-Brid scissor in order to significantly reduce weight, the company told Access, Lift & Handlers.

The HB-P830 has lost a total of 100 pounds and now weighs roughly 680 pounds. In order to reduce its weight, Custom changed the base of the scissor lift by removing the battery cabinet doors and installed a pull-out drawer system. Custom also re-designed the unit's forklift pockets by reducing the amount of material, making the pockets ligther.

The refreshing of the HB-P830 has seen a good response from European customers, according to the company's president, Steve Kissinger.

Kissinger also said Custom is doing business now in India and South Africa. Goscor Access Rental (GAR) in Johannesburg, South Africa, made a large purchase of Hy-Brid push around units, Kissinger said.

"We also just placed our first Argentina order," he said.
