Danilift lights up Copenhagen

Citelum Danmark has invested in low-noise aerial work platforms from Danilift, with electric-powered booms.

Citelum Danmark is part of French group Citelum which last year entered into a DKK 250 million agreement with Copenhagen Municipality to replace 20000 street lights with energy-efficient LED lights, and replace the entire network of 8000 street light pylons in Copenhagen.

The transition to LED lighting will give Copenhagen a whole new look, with street lighting now illuminating roads, cycling lanes and pavements.

The LED lighting also creates greater security in selected areas where this has been an issue, because the amount of illumination can be increased.

Two Danilift truck mounts will be used in the daily work in Denmark's capital. The trucks are supplied by MAN Truck & Bus Danmark A/S and their lifts are supplied by Danilift, which is based in Farsø, Denmark.

"Of course, we're pleased and proud that we were chosen to equip the brand new trucks with lifts that are manufactured by us," said Knud Markussen, sales director and co-owner of Danilift A/S.

"We are the only manufacturer of lifts for installation on trucks in Denmark,” He added, "Palfinger Platforms is an important partner, purchasing our solutions and selling them with the Palfinger logo. This means that in all of the German-speaking countries, the Danilift product is therefore called Palfinger."
