Date confirmed for 2nd ALH Conference & Awards

The second ALH Conference & Awards (ALH-CA) will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2016, in Miami, with Larry Silber, CEO of Hertz Equipment Rental Corp. (HERC), already confirmed as keynote speaker.

The event is organized by Access, Lift & Handlers (ALH) magazine and its publisher, KHL Group Americas.

Silber, who leads one of the world’s top five equipment rental companies, will head a speaker line-up that will focus on rental management and safety issues in the access and aerial platform industry.

Other speakers will include Alex Schuessler, founder and international group president of SmartEquip, who will discuss how the industry can work together to take costs out of fleet ownership.

The event includes an industry awards dinner, with rental companies, manufacturers and individuals recognized for excellence. The categories for the 2016 awards will be announced soon.

Confirmation of the date for the event follows the successful holding of the first ALH-CA, November 11, 2014, in Miami. More than 200 people attended the awards dinner and conference. Companies represented at the event included United Rentals, Sunbelt Rentals, NES Rentals, Ahern Rentals, Trico Lift and Acme Lift.

The ALH-CA event partner will be the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF), with the Scaffold and Access Industry Association (SAIA) as supporting association. IPAF will hold a North America annual member meeting the day before ALH-CA.
