Link-Belt veteran William “Skeeter” Collins announces retirement

Skeeter Collins

After an impressive career spanning over five decades, William “Skeeter” Collins, a stalwart of Link-Belt Cranes’ sales management team, has announced his retirement effective February 2025.

Collins began his journey with Link-Belt as a distributor salesman for Spartan Equipment Company, the Link-Belt distributor in the Carolinas at the time. His 14 years with Spartan Equipment saw him rise to branch manager, and then in 1990, he joined the Link-Belt Sales team as district manager for the southeastern United States, marking the start of a 35-year tenure with the company. Over the years, Collins held key leadership roles, including manager of North American sales and his current position as manager of major accounts.

“We have been fortunate to call Skeeter Collins a colleague and a friend,” said Bill Stramer, senior vice president of marketing, sales & customer support. “We wish him and Linda the very best in his retirement.”

Happy retirement, Skeeter!
