Demolition expertise helps Perforock

23 November 2015

A South American demolition attachments supplier has branched out by gaining the dealership for a German manufacturer of cutter units.

Perforock, based in Chile, was announced as the new dealer for Atlas Maschinen in the Andean country.

And it was the company’s 25 years of fulfilling niche demolition and drilling applications for mining and construction customers that helped attract Atlas to join forces.

“We are dealers for breakers and demolition attachments and also drilling equipment, so we are very excited about this new field where we could develop a new business, ” said Gunther Appelt, owner and chairman of Perforock.

“We forged our reputation by thinking outside the box and working along with our clients to develop custom solutions for them, usually when other companies won’t. So we hope this venture is successful for all the parties involved.”

Atlas supplies material handlers, excavators and truck-mounted crane systems under its own brand, as well as the Schaeff range of cutters and mine tunnelling equipment.

Managing director Brahim Stitou added: “For us the customer always comes first. Therefore, I am certain that this cooperation will lead to a win-win-situation for both our companies, and that in Perforock we have found the ideal partner for growing our cutter business in Chile.”
