Demolition Summit opens in Amsterdam

The 2012 World Demolition Summit opened with a welcome to the audience from EDA president Giuseppe Panseri, with the morning session chaired by NFDC chief executive Howard Button.

The audience were then treated to a range of presentations from seven countries, including the possible highlight of the morning covering AF Decom's removal of the wreck of the ex-Russsian cruiser Murmansk that ran aground on the north coast of Norway after breaking its tow to an Indian breaker's yard.

All presentations from the event, including the papers from the afternoon session, will be available to download from www.demolitionsummit.com after the closing paper of the afternoon session from Armac's Noel McLean.
