German engine manufacturer Deutz has acquired the business activities of its Spanish dealer Tallers Soler.

Effective 1 July, Deutz will continue to operate the business near Barcelona as one of its own service centres.

Tallers Soler has been a close partner of Deutz for more than 40 years and is one of the largest suppliers of original Deutz parts and engines in Spain. The company records revenues of around €1 million per annum.

Juli Soler, founder of Tallers Solar, said, “I repaired my first Deutz tractor when I was only 15, and I’ve worked very closely with Deutz during the 67 years that have passed since then. I’m very proud of that, and I’m delighted that our work will be continued by Deutz.”

Deutz said the new service centre in Barcelona enabled the company to expand its sales and service network in Spain, where it already had a sales and service centre in Madrid and 21 contract dealers.

Georg Diderich, senior vice president, sales & service EMEA, Deutz, said, “We are delighted that we are able to expand our presence in Spain with the new Deutz service centre in Barcelona, and so get even closer to our customers.”
