Irish plant and tool hire company Dromad Hire is expanding its powered access fleet after taking delivery of four machines.

The Dundalk-based company has purchased a new Hinowa 17.75 Performance IIIS tracked boom lift in response to growing customer demand. It also bought two Niftylift trailer-mounted booms (120 PTE and 170 DET models) and a Manitou 100VJR rotating mast boom lift. The machines were bought from Access Platform Sales (APS).

Dromad Hire managing director Seamus Byrne said, “Our Hinowa tracked booms are increasingly in demand as they are such versatile machines. They are ideal for working on boggy or soft ground and are also the perfect machine for atrium work. We are also supplying a lot of tree surgeons, particularly as pruning season gets underway. Our customers want the latest technology on access platforms that are simple and straightforward to operate.”

APS is the official UK distributor for Hinowa’s full range of tracked access platforms, dumpers and compact plant. APS is part of the IAPS Group, which holds an extensive machine and spare parts inventory.

Jim Daintith of APS said, “Dromad was quick to spot the potential of tracked booms, buying its first Hinowa from us in 2010. The company is committed to providing its customers with a modern access fleet, demonstrated by this latest investment in Hinowa, Niftylift and Manitou machines.”
