Dubai International Airport has put its new Eagle S4230 from Italy's Oil & Steel into service. The new owner repainted the 42 m working height machine after delivery in September and has been using it for maintenance since December.

The S4230, mounted on a Stralis 26 t GVW carrier, features a secondary jib and Oil & Steel's Live Work control system. That system links the operator via video camera and audio channels to the ground.

Al Laith Scaffolding, Oil & Steel's dealer in the UAE since mid-2008, brokered the sale to the airport. It said it is the seventh-busiest, in terms of international passengers, in the world.

Closer to home, Oil & Steel told AI that it began shipment of its 20 m working height Snake 2010 Compact in late December after overcoming vendor delivery problems with boom structural components in November. The company said it has orders for about 100 units and that it is producing 25 of them a month.
