Eiffage on the level

Eiffage reported 2009 Group sales of € 13,2 billion, matching its 2008 figures, although sales in its construction businesses fell -10% from € 4,1 billion in 2008 to € 3,7 billion.

In France, Eiffage Construction saw sales slide by -6% to € 2,9 billion while Eiffage Immobilier sold almost 2600 houses, up from 1500 in 2008. Outside France in the rest of Europe, sharp falls in Poland and the Czech Republic meant the division recorded a -22,8% decrease in sales.

The Public works division in France reported a -1,4% decline in 2009 sales to € 3,1 billion. A decline in road construction and maintenance was offset by increased activity in earthmoving and civil engineering. In the rest of Europe, the German and Spanish subsidiaries of Eiffage Travaux Publics recorded stable year-on-year sales.

The Group's most solid division in 2009 was its energy segment which reported a +23,3% increase in sales from € 2,5 billion in 2008 to € 3,1 billion with growth of +49% in Portugal being a highlight.
