Driven by the "numerous suggestions and requests" it received - especially at the TCIA (Tree Care Industry Association) Show in Milwaukee, MLE (Man & Material Lift Engineering) has developed the A70TD-46kV.

The A70TD-46kV combines the accessibility of a spider lift with the safety of a 46kV unit; which makes the unit suitable for utility and tree maintenance around power lines. It is a modification/option of the company's own A70TD, which offers a 70 ft platform height, articulating boom and tracked drive unit.

The spider platform characteristics of the A70TD-46kV means its stowed width can fit through a 35 in doorway but it offers a 78 ft working height with 35 ft outreach and tracks designed to cause minimal damage to the ground.

Among the features added to electrically insulate the machine were a 5 ft fiberglass boom tip and fiberglass basket and non conductive hydraulic hoses.

MLE specialises in explosion-proof lifts, clean room lifts, custom lifts, aerials for aerospace, high-capacity aerial lifts, insulated lifts and engineering consulting.
