Ellen Steck to run Chicago Pneumatic Compressors in North America

Ellen Steck, the former RSC Equipment Rental and Atlas Copco executive, has joined Chicago Pneumatic Compressors and Pneumatech as president of both companies. She will be located at Chicago Pneumatic's Rock Hill office in South Carolina.

Ms Steck, who was previously vice president, communication & branding at Atlas Copco's Compressor Technique business, based in Antwerp, Belgium, will now be responsible for running the two compressor businesses in North America, both of which are owned by Atlas Copco.

Chicago Pneumatic Compressors produces RCP piston and QRS rotary screw compressors and air drying and air quality accessories, while Pneumatech is a specialist in compressed air system engineering, producing equipment including refrigerated dryers, regenerative dryers, landfill and biogas dryers, water chillers and nitrogen generators.

Ms Steck has more than a decade of experience working with Atlas Copco businesses. In her most recent post she was responsible for marketing 23 Atlas Copco brands in more than 170 markets and 60 countries.

Before that she was vice-president of marketing for Prime and RSC Equipment Rental, which were then wholly-owned subsidiaries of the Atlas Copco. At RSC, she led the marketing and eBusiness efforts for a business with revenues of US$1.5 million and 400 rental locations.
