Cuxhaven, Germany-based Empting Kran- und Handelsgesellschaft has expanded its fleet with the purchase of a 130 tonne Liebherr LTM 1130-5.1 mobile crane.

The new 5 axle wheeled mobile telescopic crane fits between the company's existing LTM 1055-3.2 and LTM 1200-5.1. It was ordered with a full range of equipment to make it suitable for universal use, the company said.

Empting ordered the double folding jib, which significantly extends the working range of the 60 metre telescopic boom in terms of hoist height and radius. The VarioBase variable support base is designed to deliver additional safety and greater capacity.

Birgit Brending, Empting owner, said, “As a child, I was at Liebherr in the seventies and I am still a Liebherr fan now.” She describes her own family-run company, which has just six employees, as “small but mighty - everybody helps out.”
