ERA holds OEM-rental meetings at Intermat

02 May 2018

The European Rental association (ERA) successfully held a further round of face-to-face meetings between rental companies and equipment manufacturers during Intermat, with nine OEMs and the same number of rental companies involved.

The sessions, which were initiated by the ERA’s Technical Committee in 2016, give rental companies a forum to speak to their suppliers about technical and other issues surrounding machines.

Among the topics discussed were:

  • Tie-down and lifting points;
  • Quick operating guides;
  • Maintenance and predictive maintenance;
  • Telematics solutions;
  • Technical training and education;
  • Quality of pre-delivery inspections (PDI);
  • Innovation.

The meetings are organised by ERA twice a year, with the next round scheduled for October during the meeting of the ERA Technical Committee in Konz, Germany.

More information on the meetings will be available at the ERA’s annual convention in Vienna on 23 and 24 May. https://erarental.org/en/events/convention/era-convention-2018.
