Logistics provider Egyptian Transportation & Logistics (ETAL) overcame a series of challenges to transport bridge beams in Egypt.

The bridge is part of the construction of a new highway being built between the capital city Cairo and Alexandria.

The beams were transported to the Arabco Shipyard Ismailia in Egypt. On arrival at the shipyard, ETAL transported the beams using two Faymonville TeleMax flatbed semi-trailers. The beams weighed 35 tonnes each and were 38 metres long.

Once loaded onto the trailers ETAL was able to transport the bridge beams for 420 km from the shipyard to the road project in Alexandria.
