European rental awards: shortlists announced

The shortlists for the 2019 European Rental Awards have been published following the judging meeting in Brussels on 20 March.

The winners will be announced at the European Rental Awards dinner in Madrid on 15 May during the European Rental Association’s annual convention (15-16 May).

The shortlists are as follows:

Large Rental Company of the Year (>€15 million)

The Sustainability Award (judged by the ERA Sustainability Committee)

The ERA Technical Committee Award

Will be announced by the Technical Committee at the awards dinner in Madrid on 15 May

Rental Person of the Year

Lifetime Achievement Award

To be announced at awards dinner in Madrid on 15 May

In a joint statement, the judges said innovation was alive and well in the rental industry; “What is clear is that sustainability has become a more central issue, for both equipment manufacturers and rental companies, and not just with larger businesses. The trend towards electric or hybrid products was very evident this year and is reflected in several of the shortlisted products.

“It was a difficult task to finalise the shortlists and we thank all the companies that submitted awards. We look foward to celebrating with all the shortlisted firms and winners in Madrid on 15 May.”
