Galizia in Italy has launched the F200, a 20 tonne capacity battery-electric pick and carry crane.

Fabio Vercelli Galizia, managing director at Galizia pick and carry cranes, described his new F200 ELECTRICAL as a new kind of pick and carry crane. "It is very compact, at 4.5 m long, 2.2 m wide and 2 m tall," Galizia explained.

Counterweight slabs are removable and it has an innovative traction system which has front wheel drive with a separate electric motor for each of the two pairs of front wheels. "It is the first time that this technology has been used on a crane. It makes the crane unusually manoeuvrable," Galizia explained.
