Falsework and formwork display from Peri

Peri said it would be showcasing new and established products for formwork, scaffolding and engineering at Bauma, over an area of 4,200m². It will also have experts from various departments within the company on hand.

Engineers from the technical departments, experts from formwork assembly and logistics, as well as project management, will all be showcasing their range of services and offering an insight into their daily work routine.

Peri said it had developed a practical range of services over the last few years to provide support to construction workers in terms of increasing the efficiency of their project tasks. This includes various technical, commercial and logistical services, such as the creation of verifiable static calculations, or 3D design of complex formwork and scaffolding solutions.

Peri customers in Germany have been able to use tools of this kind since February 2012 via the myPeri online portal, and this will be presented in detail to the international public for the first time at Bauma.

The online portal enables Peri customers to access technical information and specific project data for their Peri construction sites around the clock. Project-specific reports, which offer an overview of material stocks and flows especially, are said to be particularly advantageous for construction work.

The myPeri system has been continually optimised and expanded since its launch in February 2012. The portal was also introduced in Austria last year, and other countries will follow in 2013.

In terms of hard products, the company will show a new tie rod system for its Maximo wall formwork. The MX 18 ties offer a high capacity, allowing them to be used on walls up to 600mm thick.

At the other end of the spectrum, a new addition to Peri’s Liwa lightweight formwork range is a new articulated aluminium joint, which can be used to create various corner angles. The system, which does not need a crane for handling, was already capable of tackling 90° corners with standard components.

Peri’s Variodeck table formwork has been improved, meanwhile, with the addition of new 3.5m long panels. The larger tables mean that fewer props are required than with the previous system.

In terms of falsework, Peri’s Bauma launches include an improved Pep Ergo family of props, while new components in the Peri Up modular scaffolding range centre around safety systems. Additions to the Peri UP range for civil engineering projects include the new ULS Flex girder, which gives contractors a cost-effective way of building over-hanging platforms on projects such as bridge schemes.

Other innovations in Peri’s civil engineering range include changes to the Variokit product family that now allow it to be used for the balanced cantilever method of bridge construction.
