The Reutlingen fire brigade department in Germany has taken delivery of a Liebherr LTM 1070 4.2 mobile crane.

The LTM 1070 4.2 has been fitted with fire service equipment, including an extra cable winch and fire-fighting equipment. The crane also has the VarioBase variable outrigger system, off-road capability, all-wheel drive and active rear axle steering. It has a 50 metre boom and can travel with its counterweight and additional equipment, while remaining within the a 12 tonne axle load limit on public roads, the manufacturer said.

Harald Hermann, commander of Reutlingen Brigade Service, said, “The modern machine is needed by the fire brigade to meet the increased requirements for technical rescues.”
