First Tadano all terrain arrives in Australia

Crane manufacturer Tadano has delivered its first ATF 400G-6 model all terrain to Perth, Australia.

The Tadano ATF 400G-6 is a six-axle all terrain crane with a 400 tonne capacity. It is the largest model produced at the Tadano Faun factory in Lauf, near Nuremberg, Germany.

Features include a powered luffing jib and Mercedes-Benz BlueTec engines. The ATF 400G-6 has a 65.4 tonne lifting capacity at a radius of 16 metres and a 40.9 tonne lifting capacity at a radius of 26 m. Using the main boom the crane can lift 10.8 tonnes at a 52 m radius and, when configured with a derrick, has a lifting capacity of 12.8 tonnes.

The crane has a five-section boom which extends from 15 to 60 m and can telescope even under partial load. With luffing jib, maximum tip height is 124 m.

Speaking on the new model, Tadano sales manager David White said, “The new ATF 400G-6 represents a major advancement in crane technology.

“The six axle compact carrier (when fitted with up to 25 tonnes of counterweight) stays inside the 3.2 m width which provides more manoeuvrability, less maintenance and more options. And the main boom lifting chart of the ATF 400G-6 is the equivalent or better than most seven axle models.”
