Flexleie adds 20 MEC tunnel lifts

Norwegian equipment rental company Flexleie AS has added 20 new MEC 2684RT-T aerial work platforms to its fleet.

Designed especially for tunnel applications, the MEC 2684RT-T has a working height of 10 m and allows the operator to self-level the platform at a working height of up to 8 m and drive at full height without the need for outriggers.

With a tilt cut out at 5 degrees and with MEC’s early warning notification system the operator is notified that the terrain is changing and can automatically level the platform without lowering.

Flexleie AS rental manager, Ole Heie said, “We can finally provide our customers with the solution they have been asking for. This is the only machine available today that allows the customer to continue working without lowering the machine every time they need to move.

"For tunnel jobs the operator needs to stay in the air and continue working. With MEC’s early tilt warning system and ability to level in the air this is the perfect machine and will increase the productivity tremendously for our customers. We plan on adding more of these in our rental fleet soon.”

The MEC 2684RT-T offers a 4.57 m (extended) x 1.83 m platform and has a capacity of up to 770 kg.

The 2684RT-T can level up to 14 degrees side to side and 10 degrees fore/aft, and is offered in 4wd, diesel, gas/LPG, electric or hybrid power.
