Fluor and AMEC JV claims Terrane Metals contract

A Fluor and AMEC joint venture has won a CA$ 915 million (US$ 892 million) engineering, procurement and construction management contract to develop Terrane Metals' Mount Milligan copper and gold project, 150 km northwest of Prince George in British Columbia, Canada.
The 50:50 JV company, British Columbia Mining Joint Venture, will provide engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services for a 60000 tonnes per day copper floatation process plant, a tailings storage facility for left-over materials created by the separation process, ancillary buildings, 92 km of electric power lines and a 600-person construction camp.
President and CEO of Terrane Metals, Robert Pease said, "With the selection of Fluor and AMEC as our EPCM contractors we have secured the services of an outstanding British-Columbia based team. Both companies have earned global recognition for their ability to deliver large-scale projects like Mount Milligan on schedule and on budget."
