25 April 2008

A new variable speed drive offering a range of options in the 0.75 to 1,500 kW output range has been introduced by Emotron for use on cranes and other dynamic applications. The VFX offers a compact input/output board which can be connected to up to four options, including crane control and communication; an integrated shaft power monitor to detect deviations from normal operation; and an integrated temperature control, which takes PT and PT100 sensors, for motor protection without transmitters.
