French-based Eiffage has recorded half-year revenues of €6.5 million – a decrease of 1.6% compared to the same period a year ago.

The company’s contracting division was down 3.1% to €5.28 billion, and Eiffage said its weakened activities in France was behind its fall.

Meanwhile, the company’s construction division benefited from a strong order book, with its six-month revenues recorded at €1.73 billion – up 4.8% year-on-year.

The company’s operating profit was up 13.6% to €677 million in its concessions and contracting divisions. Its construction division recorded an operating margin of 3.7%.

Eiffage’s debt reduced some €366 million, standing at €11.9 million for the half-year period.

The company said it expected to see a slight fall in its revenues in 2016.
