GBP adds ATF 220G
30 August 2011
Australia-based GBP Cranes has added a Tadano ATF 220G-5 all terrain crane to its fleet.
It is the first ATF 220G-5 to be sold into the state of New South Wales by Tadano Oceania.
Operating an eleven crane fleet, GBP is based in the heart of a coal mining region. The 220 tonne capacity rane will be used primarily in this sector. It has a 68 m boom, a 37.2m fly jib and is designed to be mobile yet capable of handling big lifting jobs, says Tadano..
"We run a very mixed fleet of cranes for general crane hire work," said Stuart Grosser, of GBP Cranes. "In our fleet are five Franna's, two 55 tonne Tadano truck cranes, two 65 tonne all terrains and 100 tonne, and an 80 tonne crawler."
In the mining sector there is a requirement for greater lifting capacities for maintenance and new plant construction, hence the decision to buy the ATF 220G-5, added Grosser.
