Following the launch of the Genie SX-150 boom lift in April in the USA, the first units have arived in Europe.

The 48 m working height machine has a horizontal outreach up to 24.38 m. As the latest addition to the Genie Super Boom family, it features the same XChassis design.

The machine has four pre-programmable platform heights: 46 m, 41.2 m, 36.6 m and 30.5. This feature provides rental companies the benefit of charging the fixed rental rate according to height to optimise returns on utilization, said the manufacturer.

The 340 kg capacity basket load, for two workers and tools, has an outreach of 21.34 m at 36.6 m. “In our highly competitive market, the SX-150 lift is just what rental companies are looking for to meet increasing demands in the 30 m to 48 m range,” says Phil Graysmark, vice president sales and marketing, Terex AWP EMEAR.

Applications can be found in construction, maintenance, telecommunications, gas and oil refineries, chemical maintenance, large utility applications, wind farms, bridge inspections and work in stadiums. It is also suitable for urban jobsites.

Designed to be compact the SX-150 has a tail swing of 1.06 m and unrestricted 340 kg capacity across its full working envelope, and features the manufacturer’s standard factory-installed telematics-ready connector. A Trackunit Track and Trace Fleet Management Module from Trackunit Telematics also comes as standard.
